i really enjoyed returning to a monochromatic color scheme and feel very proud of this painting. i am happy with the outcome of the folds in the material of her dress, something i have not attempted for some time. i like the overall look of piece, feeling the background really closes in on the subject matter, successful in adding an element of power to the duo.

here is one of the paintings i completed of miranda kerr over the summer. i entered her into the doug moran but was not lucky enough to be shortlisted. she did however make quite the impression on the owner of international art courier services (IAS) and a number of his staff. so happy with the wisteria. i have never used a lot of purple in a painting before and believe it has brought a strangely soft touch to the work almost a soft perfumed frangance.
